Ginger-Soy Tilapia

I am finally able to eat tilapia again without gagging after my show! It’s still not my favorite, but this recipe definitely masked the bland tilapia flavor! I love anything Asian-flavor inspired, so this is right up my alley! The ginger makes it so fresh and delicious.

Macros (per 4oz serving of prepared tilapia): 179 cals, 3g fat, 0g carbs, 30g protein


-6 tilapia filets (5ish oz each raw)
-3tbs fresh ginger (I usually use more)
-1/3c less sodium soy sauce
-3tsp sesame oil
-Pepper (to taste)


-Preheat oven to 425 degrees
-Tear off 6 12″x 15″ ish foil pieces
-Place piece of tilapia in center of each piece of foil
-Distribute remaining ingredients over all the filets
-Fold up the foil into pockets around the tilapia
-Bake until fish is opaque (About 12 minutes)
